Manchester riots

We have been monitoring twitter, facebook etc all day and have seen many posts which have all been blown out of proportion. The BBC is linking to its own site with Riots in Manchester as the subject, when there is no content whatsoever about the page…. in our opinion that is completely out of order and is abuse of social media for SEO purposes. Update 10/08/11: It was a bad night in Manchester with many luxury goods stores targeted by the young and idiotic looters. The importance of HTTPS Pt2 – Twitter Security

Twitter Security has been the subject of recent news from the 4th of July, and the hacking of the Fox News network Twitter account, I thought it would be a good idea to continue on Raj’s article, and produce a short series for everyone, just to show the true importance of HTTPS.  After the very informative article on how ‘hackers’ manage to hijack a Facebook accounts easily.  I thought I would extend this explanation using another popular social network as an example.  i.e. Twitter. Google plus launch! Manchester International Festival, What’s on 2011

MIF 2011 The Manchester International Festival 2011 (i.e this year), will be taking place from Thursday 30th June to Sunday 17th July 2011 and looks to be one of the best Manchester Events in 2011.  If you are looking for world class new artists, work and special events, you will love it this year.  After a 2 year wait the city will celebrate its significant role in world music, multi-culture, and innovation, opening with a performance from World class Artist Bjork.  For those of you at Glastonbury 2011, save yourself for some spectacular art when you come home 😉
